Whether thrills on a roller coaster, steep descents, wild animals or lofty heights - within a maximum of 1.5 hours, a wide variety of destinations with exciting attractions invite you to spend eventful days.
Follow in the footsteps of great explorers and adventurers at Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen. In Europe's largest safari park, 1,500 wild animals from all over the world await you in 17 spacious open-air enclosures, while more than 40 rides and spectacular show programmes provide action in the amusement park.

In Magic Park Verden you can immerse yourself in a world full of magic. In the fairytale forest, curious explorers marvel at life-size animated fairytale scenes. Enchanting shows ensure astonished faces, while roller coasters, boat swings and adventure playgrounds promise fun and games. Things are a little quieter at the petting zoo, where llamas, rabbits and other animals look forward to your visit.

More than 600 animals from all over the world can be marvelled at in the natural area of the Thüle Animal and Leisure Park. Lions, various types of monkeys, parrots and many other animals await you on 17 hectares. Goats can be petted and fed in the petting zoo. The amusement park offers 31 different rides for everyone, from the cosy slow train to the fast-paced roller coaster.
With a combination of zoo, amusement park and play barn, Jaderpark, located on the North Sea, provides a change from everyday life. In the animal park you can marvel at around 600 different species, from giraffes to spiders. The amusement park offers a variety of rides, games and sports equipment. And in the play barn, climbing frames, a ropes course, a bouncy castle, a ball field and an area for the little ones provide lots of fun.

Miniature golf or pedal boats, café in the dark or "SinnesRauschen" - in the nature and adventure park in Bremervörde, visitors young and old are invited to discover their senses and nature. Developed from the state exhibition "Natur im Städtebau" (Nature in Urban Development), the 100-hectare area on Lake Vörder See with its various themed gardens, playgrounds, water landscapes and much more is an ideal destination for days out in nature. Admission to the park is free.

Skiing and the North German lowlands don't really go together? Far from it! At Snow Dome Bispingen, winter sports enthusiasts will find a nearby alternative to distant ski resorts. On two different slopes with a gradient of 9 to 20 percent, both beginners and aficionados will get their money's worth. And those who don't feel so comfortable on skis can have fun on the toboggan run.

On an 850,000 square metre area in the middle of the Lüneburger Heide, the Heide Park Resort awaits you as northern Germany's largest leisure and short trip adventure. With plenty of space to romp, play and rest, the Wingst play park entices you out into the fresh air. With more than 50,000 square metres and free admission, the park delights with numerous play and sports facilities, such as a summer toboggan run, a tree rope trail or an interactive playground.

As Germany's largest scientific theme park, the Dinosaur Open-Air Museum in Münchehagen gives you an insight into the world of Brachiosaurus, Tyrannosaurus rex and Co. You will encounter numerous reconstructions of the impressive prehistoric animals in original size in the Dino Park, while in the natural monument "Saurierfährten" you can discover over 300 fossilised dinosaur tracks that were left in the soft soil almost 140 million years ago.

Water fun for the whole family can be found at Blue Bay Spadener See. The beach, the water park and the beach restaurant offer a real holiday feeling. The leisure facilities include stand-up paddling, a children's playground, beach volleyball, boules and adventure golf. Blue Bay also has one of the most modern and largest five-mast wakeboard facilities and one of the largest water ski facilities in Europe. For dog owners, there is also a fenced beach where you can play with your four-legged friends on land and in the water.
