Surrounded by wide meadows along the course of the River Wümme, leisure cyclists can enjoy a relaxing ride through the northern German countryside on the cycle path between Lüneburger Heide and Bremen.
The Wümme cycle path runs from its source on Wilseder Berg in the Lüneburger Heide to where it flows into the Weser in Bremen. Enthusiastic cyclists can follow the route for around 250 kilometres, which offers visitors one of the most varied tours through the northern German countryside. Consisting of a northern route of around 125 kilometres and a southern route of around 135 kilometres, the circular route connects the Lüneburger Heide with Bremen.

Numerous attractions and places to stop for refreshments can be found along the cycle route. Vast landscapes, heathland and forests invite you to let your gaze wander. Small villages such as the artists' village of Fischerhude or the inhabited museum village of Wilsede are just waiting to be explored. The entire route can be cycled within a few days. However, as the Wümme cycle route can be easily divided into individual sections, it is also ideal for day trips.
